My Two Sense or Sen$e Worth

My new blog…my name is Karen.

Welcome to my new blog!  My name is Karen, and I’m excited to share my 2cents, or two sense, or two sen$e worth with you!

I’ll also share about the other “sense.”  That is, advice or counsel.  This is not just coming from me, but from God’s Holy Word. Continue reading “My Two Sense or Sen$e Worth”

Spending sen$e

We are currently trying to get out of debt.  We have a manageable car payment but our credit card is over 3K. That is too much for us!  We are trying to stay within a budget.  After moving just in the past two months, our expenses have been a little bit higher, but we are working on it.

Being sen$ible:

  1. Menu plan and have a grocery list.  Stick with it!
  2. Shop at places like Aldi’s, Wal-Mart, and thrift stores.  There are more thrift places than Goodwill and “Salvatore Armani’s,” as my cousin calls them.  Some look more like pricey fashion boutiques.
  3. Put money on the side for non-monthly expenses. We pay our car insurance every 6 months, so we have money from this fund.
